My McDreamy

Grey’s Anatomy likes to give nicknames to their doctors, McDreamy, McSteamy, McVet etc.  And I’d say that I’ve definitely got myself a McDreamy, for more reasons than one.

See, there comes a point in everyone’s life when you realize you’ve made the RIGHT decision.  Of course, there are times when you know you’ve made the wrong decision, which happens more often than not but being right?  That feels good.

How I came to the conclusion that I did, in fact, marry my McDreamy is because of one car ride from hell.

One day, my husband and I were driving back to Los Angeles after spending the holidays with his parents.  They had fed us breakfast before we left and all seemed to be fine.

However, about twenty minutes down the road I started feeling sick.  And not just a little sick, I’m talking I felt like I was dying.  I thought that if maybe we stopped and got some sprite I would be okay.

My husband zipped into a McDonalds drive-thru.  After we got back on the freeway no amount of sprite was going to cure what I had.  I threw up everywhere.  Our McDonalds was officially ruined and I was sitting in my own vomit.

We then got off on the next exit and zipped right back into a McDonalds.  Thankfully there are SO many along the way.

I ran as fast as I could and begged the worker to give me the key to the bathroom.

My loving husband found clothes for me to change into, and cleaned up the car as I wiped myself clean with the thinnest paper towels ever.  Looking back I wish I would have had a diaper bag because wipes would have been super helpful!

As we headed home I began to realize that I was in fact with my McDreamy.  Sometimes having someone see you at your worst makes you realize how much they love you.

And sometimes you puke in their car AGAIN.  Yes, I can’t even count the number of times I’ve puked in a car as an adult.

What made you realize you were with your McDreamy?
